NYS Corporate wins new not-for-profit clients
Travel Management Company NYS Corporate is building on its success in the latest Buying Solutions Framework by adding new not-for-profit clients to their portfolio.
As charities are eligible to use the framework agreement, the Royal British Legion is going live at the beginning of January 2011. “It’s a triple win for the Legion,” said the Legion’s Head of Procurement, Frank Wright. “Previously, people were using a wide variety of processes for booking and paying for their travel. That not only made it difficult to get a clear picture of our costs, it prevented us from benefiting from volume discounts.”
“Now, everyone will use the same system, whether they are in head office or in the regions. We will get consistent management information for managing our budgets, and we anticipate savings of up to 30% by going through one supplier. The third element is that the system is very easy to use, which saves time for people and ensures they are accessing the best rates quickly.”
NYS Corporate has also recently contracted with Ufi Ltd, the organisation which delivers learndirect learning services. learndirect is the UK’s leading online learning provider, offering flexible, accessible learning opportunities to individuals, communities and workplaces across England and Wales. NYS Corporate is one of a limited number of suppliers on the Buying Solutions framework, which allows public sector organisations and charities to procure travel management services without undertaking a long, costly tender process.
